These applications are distinct from software that is part of larger service offerings (e.g., Canvas for LMS or Zoom for web conferencing) and are evaluated for accessibility, security, and compliance to meet institutional needs.

Miami University utilizes an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to integrate and manage core institutional processes, including human resources, finance, payroll, procurement, and student information. In 2024, the university transitioned from its legacy Banner system to Workday, a modern, cloud-based ERP platform. This transition aims to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience for faculty, staff, and students.
Miami University offers Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Tableau for reporting. IT Services provides support for the use of OAS, while assisting with Tableau licensing.

This service centers on the future target in Workday Student, Miami’s modern cloud-based student information platform, and includes other integrated systems and tools that enable academic planning, advising, registration, grading, and degree progress tracking.
The Miami ID is the official university identification, providing students, faculty, and staff access to essential campus services. While Miami University has transitioned to a Digital ID as the default format, physical ID cards remain available upon request. The ID allows access to campus buildings, meal plans, MUlaa debit accounts, recreation centers, library services, and more.
Miami University offers support for conference room technologies to enhance collaboration, teaching, and administrative meetings. This service ensures that conference rooms are equipped with the necessary audio-visual (AV) tools and are functioning properly for both in-person and hybrid communication needs.
IT Service Management (ITSM) is the capability responsible for providing and supporting the information technology services used throughout the University.
Enables Miami University departments to securely scan, store, and retrieve official university documents in digital form. Built on the Banner Document Management System (BDM), it supports access to institutional records that must be preserved for operational, legal, or historical reasons. While many records are now managed in systems like Workday or Slate, BDM remains essential for accessing and managing legacy content.
