  • My Android phone won't connect to MU-Wireless
  • Connect my Google Pixel phone to MU-Wireless

Environment

  • 10139: Wireless Network
    • MU-Wireless
  • Android

Resolution

  1. From your home screen, tap Settings
  2. Select Connections, then Wi-Fi
    • Be sure that Wi-Fi is enabled
  3. For every Miami wireless network, tap and hold the network and select Forget
    • For any network that Forget is not an option, the network is already forgotten
  1. Once you've forgotten all Miami networks, select MU-WIRELESS
  2. Scroll down the list to configure these settings:
    • Set EAP method to PEAP
    • Set Phase 2 authentication (if applicable) to MSCHAPv2
    • Leave CA certificate as (unspecified)
      • Android 7.0 (Nougat) users: Change the certificate to Don't Validate
      • Android 7.1 and 8.0 (Oreo) users: Change the certificate to Do Not Validate
    • Enter your Miami UniqueID for Identity
    • Enter your MUnet password for Password
    • If your device has an Anonymous identity field, leave this blank
  3. Tap Connect to save your configuration settings and connect to the network

Notes

  • Re-enter your credentials when you change your MUnet password
  • Forget/delete MU-Gaming and MU-Guest from your remembered networks to ensure that your device will stay connected to MU-Wireless

Can you resolve this issue yourself?
Can the end-user resolve the issue using the instructions given?
Or does the end-user need to request assistance from Miami UIT, a client office, or a vendor?
