Wireless Network / Connect an Android device to MiamiOH-Secure

To provide instruction on configuring an Android device for secure access to MiamiOH-Secure

From your home screen, tap Settings
Select Network & Internet
Be sure to enable (toggle on) Wi-Fi
Select Wi-Fi
Tap and hold the MU-Gaming network, and select Forget
Tap and hold the MU-Guest network, and select Forget
- Removing these Miami networks from your remembered networks ensures that your device will stay connected to MU-Wireless
- A network that does not offer Forget as an option is already forgotten
Once you've forgotten all Miami networks, select MiamiOH-Secure
Scroll down the list to configure these settings:
- Set EAP method to PEAP
- Set Phase 2 authentication (if applicable) to MSCHAPv2
- Leave CA certificate as (unspecified)
  - Android 7.0 (Nougat) users: Change the certificate to Don't Validate
  - Android 7.1 and 8.0 (Oreo) users: Change the certificate to Do Not Validate
  - Android 10 and above users: Change the certificate to Don't Validate
  - Some Android-based devices may require the user to select Use System Certificates before being able to select Do Not Verify
- If a domain is required, use radius.miamioh.edu
- Enter your Miami UniqueID for Identity
- If your device has an Anonymous identity field, leave this blank
- Enter your MUnet password for Password
- You do not need to adjust any settings under the advanced section
Tap Connect to save your configuration settings and connect to the network

Re-enter your credentials when you change your MUnet password

- Location
- Media Access Control address (MAC) for your device(s)
- Contact information
