Guidelines
MUprint features
- Students, faculty, staff, and visitors can use MUprint to print black-and-white or color documents
- Cost per printed document (impression) 8.5"x11'":
- Black-and-white printing, $0.10
- Color printing, $0.25
- MUprint now includes a follow-me feature
- Send your job to a virtual printer, and then use any release station to print your job
- Your job will be held in the virtual print queue for up to 24 hours
- When printing MUprint Color and B&W as your print queue option
- Web Print is a component of MUprint that allows you the convenience of uploading a document to print
- Email to Print is a component of MUprint that allows you the convenience of emailing a document to print
- Simply tap your Mobile ID or swipe your Miami ID (or MUIaa card) at a printer to release and pay for your document
- The cost for printing will be deducted from your MUlaa account or employee payroll
- A visitor can obtain a MUlaa card from the Library and add print credits using a credit card
- Touchless Release to release your print job from your mobile phone or computer without using a Release Station

Print from an on-campus lab computer
- Using any application, access the printing feature
- Select MUprint Color and B&W as your print queue option
- Configure other print settings, as needed
- Click Print
- You can now release your print: See Release a print job, below
- Your job will be held in your selected MUprint queue for 24 hours
Web Print
- Web Print allows you to upload documents to a web page to be printed
- Available on campus on any wired network or MU-Wireless
- Functionality best utilized from computers
- 100MB file size limit
- In your browser, go to MUprint.miamioh.edu
- If prompted to log in, use your Miami credentials (your UniqueID and MUnet password)
- Click Web Print in the left column of the page
- Click Submit a Job
- If you require more than one copy update Copies and click Upload Documents
- Drag files to Upload into the box or click Upload from computer to select files singularly and click Upload & Complete
- The following file types are allowed: PDF pdf Picture Files bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff
- If you see a red X on your file it is not a valid file type

- You can now release your print: See Release a print job, below
- Your job will be held in your selected MUprint queue for 24 hours
Email to Print
- Email to Print allows you to send documents to an email address to be printed
- Available through your Miami email address
- Emails must be sent from UniqueID@miamioh.edu e.g. smithx99@miamioh.edu, emails from aliases will be rejected e.g. First.Last@miamioh.edu
- It is recommended to use the Gmail webmail or Gmail app on iOS or Android devices.
- Email addresses accepting documents for print
- 25MB file size limit
- Available from any computer or device that can attach a file in an email
- Compose an email and send it to the Email to Print email address with the document to be printed as an attachment
- The following file types are allowed: PDF pdf Picture Files bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff

- You can now release your print: See Releasing a print job, below
- Your job will be held in your selected MUprint queue for 24 hours
Release a print job
Release Station (available at most MUprint locations)

- Tap your Mobile ID or Swipe your Miami ID or use your Miami credentials (your UniqueID and MUnet password) to log in
- If you are a visitor, swipe your MUlaa card
- Select the job you want to print
- If you do not see the job you want to print, make sure you are at an appropriate release station
- Click Print
Touchless Release
- Print jobs can be released without using a public release station, either by using Mobile Release or accessing the Jobs Pending Release when using Web Print

Add Printing Credits to your MUPrint Account using a Credit Card
If your MUlaa account does not enough funds to print, you can add $2, $5, or $10 to your Papercut account.
- Log in to https://MUprint.miamioh.edu
- Click the link Add Credit from the left-hand menu
- Select an amount to add from the drop-down list, then click Add Value
- Fill in your purchase information and click Pay Now.
- When you return to the Papercut screen, click the link Jobs Pending Release to see your queued jobs
- You can select a job to print, and then select the printer you want to use or
- You can also go to any MUprint printer and use your Miami Mobile ID (tap your phone), or swipe your ID card to access your queued jobs
Note
