Guidelines

MUprint Luxemborg features

  • Students, faculty, staff, and visitors can use MUprint to print black-and-white or color documents
  • Cost per printed document (impression) 8.5"x11'":
    • Black-and-white printing, $0.05
    • Color printing, $0.10
  • MUprint includes a follow-me feature
    • Send your job to a virtual printer, and then use the library release station or compatible printer control panel to release your print job
    • Your job will be held in the virtual print queue for up to 24 hours
  • When printing, select MUprint Luxembourg B&W Only or MUprint Luxembourg Color as your print queue option
    • Jobs sent to the MUprint Luxemborg B&W Only queue can be released on any Ricoh printer in the Luxemborg Château
    • Jobs sent to the MUprint Luxemborg Color queue can only be released on printers with both Color and B&W capability
    • The Color printer outside the Secretary office is restricted to staff use
    • Web Print is a component of MUprint that allows you the convenience of uploading a document to print
    • Email to Print is a component of MUprint that allows you the convenience of emailing a document to print
    • A Release station is conveniently located in the Luxemborg Château library  
    • Simply tap your Miami ID to release and pay for your document
      • The cost for printing will be deducted from your MUlaa account or employee payroll
    • Touchless Release to release your print job from your computer without using a Release Station

Related Procedures

Print from a University-owned computer

  1. Using any application, access the printing feature
  2. Select MUprint Luxemborg B&W Only or MUprint Luxemborg Color as your print queue option
  3. Configure other print settings, as needed
  4. Click Print
  5. You can now release your print: See Releasing a print job, below
    • Your job will be held in your selected MUprint Luxemborg queue for 24 hours

 

Web Print

  • Web Print allows you to upload documents to a web page to be printed
  • Available on the Luxemborg campus from MU-Wireless
  • Functionality best utilized from computers
  • 100MB file size limit
  1. In your browser, go to mudecprint.miamioh.edu
    • If prompted to log in, use your Miami credentials (your UniqueID and MUnet password)
  2. Click Web Print in the left column of the page
  3. Click Submit a Job
  4. Select Virtual Queue to send print job to and click Print Options and Account Selection
  5. If you require more than one copy update Copies and click Upload Documents
  6. Drag files to Upload into the box or click Upload from computer to select files singularly and click Upload & Complete
    • The following file types are allowed: PDF pdf Picture Files bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff

  7. You can now release your print: See Releasing a print job, below
    • Your job will be held in your selected MUprint queue for 24 hours

 

Email to Print

  • Email to Print allows you to send documents to an email address to be printed
  • Available through your Miami email address
    • Emails must be sent from UniqueID@miamioh.edu e.g. smithx99@miamioh.edu, emails from aliases will be rejected e.g. First.Last@miamioh.edu
    • It is recommended to use the Gmail webmail or Gmail app on iOS or Android devices.
  • Email addresses accepting documents for print
  • 25MB file size limit
  • Available from any computer or device that can attach a file in an email
  1. Compose an email and send it to the Email to Print email address with the document to be printed as an attachment
  2. You can now release your print: See Release a print job, below
    • Your job will be held in your selected MUprint queue for 24 hours

 

Release a print job

Release Station (available in the library)

  1. Tap your Miami ID on the card reader or use your Miami credentials (your UniqueID and MUnet password) to log in
  2. Select the job you want to print
  3. Click Print

 

From the printer
  1. Enter your Miami credentials (your UniqueID and MUnet password) to log in using the virtual keyboard on the Printer's display
  2. Select the job you want to print
  3. Click Print

 

Touchless release

  • Print jobs can be released without using the public release station by accessing the Jobs Pending Release when using Web Print
