Problem

• How can I view my instructor's announcements in a Canvas course?
• How can I get notified when my instructor posts an announcement in Canvas?

Resolution

• Your instructor may elect to post recent announcements on the course Home page; however, all course announcements with current display dates can be found on the Announcements page, if enabled in your course:
  • How do I view Announcements as a student?
  • Announcements that have not been read will display a blue dot indicator
  • If an announcement is no longer visible, your instructor may have set specific display dates. If necessary, contact your instructor to see if they can extend them.
• To receive an alert when your instructor posts a course announcement, update your Canvas notification settings:

  • How do I manage notifications for a single course?
