Problem

How do I log in to Canvas with a guest (non-Miami) account?
How do I log in to my Miami University Professional Education course in Canvas without a Miami University student or employee account?
How do I change my Canvas guest account password?

Check with the course instructor or coordinator to ensure that they have added your non-MU account to the Canvas course
If accessing the course for the first time, use the link in the Canvas course invitation email to create your guest account
- Note: The link in the email will not work after the first use — follow Step 3 to log in
If returning to the course, use the Canvas Guest login page to access your course. You may wish to bookmark this page for future use
- If your password is not working, select the Forgot Password? link and follow the prompts to reset your Canvas password
  - Your "Miami University-Login" is the email address you used to enroll in the course
  - Guest accounts do not use Miami's CAS authentication for single sign-on. Miami IT Services cannot reset guest passwords
