Allow students additional attempts on a quiz (moderate) / Canvas

Problem

You can use the Moderate page in Canvas to give your students extra attempts on a published quiz (unlimited-attempt quizzes do not have this option). The page is accessed differently based on the quiz version you're using:
- How to moderate attempts in Classic Quizzes
- How to moderate attempts in New Quizzes
If your quiz has availability dates or you have a Late Submission policy in the Gradebook, you may need to extend the due date and/or availability dates for the student before they can access it. Review the KB guide to open a quiz or assignment for a student for more information

While there is currently no global retirement date for Classic Quizzes, Miami Online recommends you begin using New Quizzes. You can request a Canvas project site (sandbox) to begin creating, migrating to, and experimenting with New Quizzes at your own pace
