Add video to Studio / Canvas

Problem

Add video to library

To add a video in Studio, refer to the Canvas Guide for uploading files to Studio or follow this procedure:

1. Click the Studio link in your Canvas Global Navigation Menu 
2. Click the + Create button, select Add Media, and then select Browse Files
3. Locate the video file on your device and click Open or Upload
4. Once the upload is complete, click the thumbnail in your library to view the media. It is now available to share in Studio, embed in a Canvas course, or submit to an assignment
   • Go to the Details tab and click Edit Details to edit the video title and/or the description and add tags
   • Review media captions on the Captions tab. Quality captioning is required for videos added for instructional purposes to ensure equal access to all course content:​​​​​​
     • In Studio, auto-generated captions are added to your uploaded files by default​​​​​, but should be reviewed and edited for accuracy:
