Objective

Rationale

  • Cookies save browsing information for the sites you visit. When cookies are enabled, a site can keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and give you relevant content

Resolution

Chrome

  1. In Chrome. click the more icon  and select Settings
  2. Click Privacy and security in the left column 
  3. Click Third-party cookies in the right column
  4. Select​​​​​ Allow third-party cookies
    • Make sure the Block third-party cookies option is toggled off
  5. Scroll down to Sites allowed to use third-party cookies
  6. Click the Add button
  7. In the Add a site window, enter duosecurity.com in the Site field
  8. Click the Add button
  9. Close and restart your browser

 

Firefox

  1. In Firefox, select the menu icon
  2. Select Settings from the menu
  3. Click the Privacy & Security icon 
    • This is where you can view your settings for Enhanced Tracking Protection, which includes cookies
    • If Standard is selected, this is the default setting and, except for trackers, all cookies are enabled
    • If Strict is selected, choose either Standard or Custom
      • If Custom is selected, either uncheck Cookies (this will allow all cookies) or select the setting to only block Cross-site tracking cookies
  4. Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section
  5. Click the Manage Exceptions button and check the list for duosecurity.com
    • If listed, select the entry, click the Remove Website button, and then click the Save Changes button
  6. Close the about:preferences#privacy page to save all changes
  7. Close and restart your browser

 

Internet Explorer 

Internet Explorer 11 is no longer accessible as of February 14, 2023. If any site you visit needs Internet Explorer 11, you can reload it with Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge. We recommend you use Microsoft Edge for a faster, more secure and modern web browsing experience.

 

Microsoft Edge (Windows 10)

  1. In the Edge window, select More (...) > Settings > View advanced settings.
  2. Scroll down to Cookies, and select Don't block cookies
  3. Close and restart your browser

 

Safari (macOS High Sierra)

  1. In Safari, select Safari in the menu bar
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select the Privacy tab
  4. Click the Advanced Settings button
  5. At Privacy:, clear the Block all cookies option
  6. Close and restart your browser
