Objective

• To provide information on testing your Internet speed from an on-campus location
• To provide information on testing your Internet speed from an off-campus location

Environment

• 10139: Wireless Network
• 9583: Access Network
  • Wired Network
• Miami Network

Resolution

Test on-campus speed

1. Go to the speedtest website
2. Click the Change Server link
3. Enter Miami in the search box
4. Select Oxford, OH
5. Click GO
6. You should see the following results:
   • UPLOAD: 15 Mbps or greater
   • DOWNLOAD: 15 Mbps or greater
   • PING: 5 ms or less

Test off-campus speed

1. Go to the speedtest website
2. Click the Change Server link
3. Enter onenet in the search box
4. Select Oklahoma City, OK
5. Click GO
6. You should see the following results:
   • UPLOAD: 15 Mbps or greater
   • DOWNLOAD: 15 Mbps or greater
   • PING: 5 ms or less
