Canvas / Make a quiz available before or after the due date

Objective

• To provide links to the Canvas Guides and KB articles on making a quiz available to a student before or after the due date

Cause

• If a student has not started or taken a quiz before the due date passes, it will be marked as late by Canvas and will only be available if no available until date has been set or if has been updated for the student

Resolution

• Review the KB article on how to edit the date and access details of an assignment, and add additional access if necessary
  • If you need to assign access to a quiz after the course ends to resolve an incomplete grade for a student, see the KB article to open a closed course for a student
  • If you need to remove the late penalty for a student's assignment submission, refer to the Canvas Guide for changing the status of a submission in the Gradebook
