Cause

  • Late submissions, grade reconciliation

Resolution

  1. Before you can add grades to a closed course, you must extend the end-date of the course and the section by submitting a ticket for a Canvas admin to open the course. If your course is still open follow the steps in these Canvas Guides:
  2. You can now adjust grades
  3. When finished, remember to set the course end-date back to the end of term
  4. If you are unable to reset the course end date, contact IT Help by calling 513-529-7900 or by initiating a live chat session at MiamiOH.edu/ITChat and provide the following information:
    1. Course Term
    2. Course Number
    3. Course Section
    4. Rationale for re-opening the course

 

  • Changing the course end date past the term will open the course to all students enrolled
  • Grades changed in Canvas after the grade submission deadline will not be reflected in Banner unless a change of grade is submitted through the Photo Roster
