University Computer / Restore desktop shortcuts

Objective

• Restore shortcut icons to reimaged computer desktop

Environment

• University-owned Computer
• Windows

Cause

• Desktop shortcuts are not preserved when a computer is reimaged

Resolution

1. Select the Start button
2. In the search bar, search for the application you want to launch
3. Click on the name of the application to launch it
   • If the application is not installed, you may be able to install it through Software Center
   • Follow these KB instructions to install applications through Software Center
