Objective

Restore shortcut icons to reimaged computer desktop

University-owned Computer
Windows

Cause

Desktop shortcuts are not preserved when a computer is reimaged

Resolution

Select the Start button
In the search bar, search for the application you want to launch
Click on the name of the application to launch it
- If the application is not installed, you may be able to install it through Software Center
- Follow these KB instructions to install applications through Software Center
