Restore desktop shortcuts / University Computer

Problem

• I need to restore shortcut icons to my re-imaged computer desktop

Cause

• Desktop shortcuts are not preserved when a computer is re-imaged

Resolution

1. From your desktop, select the Start button
2. In the search bar, search for the application you want to launch
3. Click on the name of the application to launch it
   • If the application is not installed, you may be able to install it through Software Center
   • Follow these KB instructions to install applications through Software Center
