Interpret current and final scores in Grades (student) / Canvas

Problem

• What is the difference between the current score and the final score in Canvas Grades?

Resolution

• Your current score is your score based only on submitted graded activities (assignments, quizzes, discussions, etc.)
• Your final score is your overall course grade and includes all course activities, including unsubmitted and ungraded activities, which are counted as zero
• Weighted grades can affect your current score. For example, if you have completed only assignments in a group that is weighted at 0%, your current score will be 0%. This will change as you complete assignments in the other weighted groups
