Error

Error Employee does not receive Claim Code email after being hired via Workday
Affected User Newly hired employees
Cause The employee has had a previous affiliation with the University
Workaround Perform a password recovery to set a new password on your account
Associated Procedure Request: MUnet Password / Change or reset my password
   

Error

Error Accounts not created for new employee with existing family account
Affected User / Client Office / Action New Miami employee that also holds a Student Information for Families account with the same personal email address
Cause When Miami's identity system attempts to create the identity, it fails as similar information was found on the existing Student Information for Families account
Applied Resolution Contact IT Help to report the issue. Miami IAM staff will correct the record

Error

Error A user has multiple UniqueIDs
Affected User Miami user who experiences this
Cause There are a few potential causes for this issue:
  • The user has requested a UniqueID change and the old account has not yet been removed
  • The user was previously affiliated with the University, and they were either hired or enrolled, their data was not matched with their existing account
  • A courtesy account was requested for a user who has had a previous affiliation with the University
  • A courtesy account was requested for a user in advance of their hire date, and the identity system did not match due to data mismatches

Error

Error A former student has re-enrolled at Miami, but their student account has not been created
Affected User Miami student who was enrolled before March 2024 and has now re-enrolled
Cause A record for the student exists in Miami's identity system for this student, but the identity system was unable to merge the new information into the student's identity
Applied Resolution Contact IT Help to report the issue. Miami IAM staff will correct the record

Error

Error Newly requested auto-populated Active Directory groups are not being created as expected
Affected Groups Auto-populated groups created after March 2024
Cause When Miami moved to its new IAM solution, the implementation of auto-populated groups only took into account existing auto-populated groups. Work is ongoing to update this process to correctly create new auto-populated groups
Workaround Contact IT Help to report the issue. Miami IAM staff will manually create the group if needed. New requests are already being handled
   

Error

Error A new employee receives two account claim emails with different UniqueIDs
Affected User Miami employee who experiences this issue
Cause Multiple records for the new employee exist in source systems (Workday and Banner) with differing information
Applied Resolution Contact Human Resources to report this issue. Human Resources will correct the duplicated information and then work with IAM staff to disable the duplicate account
