    • Graduate Students: 500GB
    • Life-long Learners: 50GB
    • Faculty: 800GB
    • Staff: 500GB
    • Courtesy Accounts: 500GB
    • Entity Accounts: 200GB
    • Organizations: 100GB
    • Retirees: 500GB
    • Emeriti: 500GB
    • Former Students: 0
    • Accepted Students: 0

Environment

  • 10259: Google Drive - My Drive

Instructions

If you exceed your Google storage quota, your My Drive files will become read-only. You need to delete unused files that you own to free up space in your My Drive. Your Miami email will not be impacted if you are over quota.

Notes

  • If you share files with others and your account is over quota, your collaborators will not be able to edit or change a file that you own
  • Likewise, you may receive an error message if you try to edit a file owned by someone else who is over quota
  • Please be aware that when deleting your data, Google processes take at least 12 hours (sometimes longer) to fully delete those files. This means that if you are over quota and no longer able to work out of your Google Drive, you might have to wait 12 to 24 hours after deleting data out of your Drive for it to return to full functionality.
