Access offline on a University computer / SPSS Statistics

Problem

• How do I use SPSS Statistics without an Internet connection?

Rationale

• SPSS Statistics can be used offline for up to 7 days, but this access must be configured in advance — if you're already offline, you won't be able to retrieve a license

Resolution

1. While connected to Miami's network on-campus or by VPN, start IBM SPSS Statistics Commuter License
   • For help with Cisco AnyConnect and VPN
   • This program allows you to check out a license for up to 7 days, freeing you from having to use VPN all the time
2. On the Commuter Utility screen, enter a number (up to 7) in the Duration (Days) text box at the bottom of the dialog box
3. Click Check Out
   • You can now use SPSS Statistics offline for the requested number of days
