Problem
How do I add the license configuration to a new installation of SPSS Statistics?
Scope
You have received an error message regarding the license status of your newly installed SPSS Statistics software. Your installation of SPSS was interrupted — normally, license settings would have been automatically configured by the installer
Resolution
If you are off-campus and get a message that SPSS Statistics is not licensed,
follow these KB instructions to access SPSS from off-campus
If SPSS will not work after following the instructions at the above link, continue to step 2
Run
IBM SPSS Statistics License Authorization Wizard
from the Start Menu on Windows or Applications on macOS
On the resulting License Status screen, click
Next
On the Product Authorization screen, select
Concurrent user license
and then click
Next
In the License Manager name or Server IP Address, enter
spsslic.miamioh.edu
and then click
Next
Click
Finish
Notes
Verify your license from within SPSS:
Click
File/New/Script
Enter
show license
Run the script
If necessary,
follow these KB instructions to request a temporary license for offline use
