Problem

• How do I create a quiz question that allows students to upload a file?

Resolution

• There are currently two quiz engines available in Canvas: Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes. Adding questions is slightly different based on the quiz version:

Classic Quiz

• How do I create a quiz with individual questions?
• How do I create a File Upload quiz question?

New Quizzes

• How do I create a quiz using New Quizzes?
• How do I create a File Upload question in New Quizzes?

Notes

• While there is currently no global retirement date for Classic Quizzes, Miami Online recommends you begin using New Quizzes. You can request a Canvas project site (sandbox) to begin creating, migrating to, and experimenting with New Quizzes at your own pace
