Enable captions in meetings / Zoom

Problem

• How do I view or hide automated captions in Zoom?

Scope

• Miami Zoom accounts can enable automated captions in the Zoom web portal. Users who turn on captions in a meeting or webinar will then be able to view or hide automated captions 

Resolution

Enable captions in all meetings you host

1. Sign in to the Zoom Workplace app
2. Click Account, then Settings, then Accessibility
3. In the Closed Captioning section, toggle on Always show captions in meetings and webinars

View captions in a meeting or webinar

If the host has enabled captions for the session, you can turn them on from the controls toolbar.

1. Join a meeting or webinar
2. In the meeting controls toolbar, click the Show captions icon 
3. Captions will automatically appear above the meeting controls toolbar

Note: If you don't see Show captions, click the More icon , then click Show captions
