JMP license update

Issue/Question 

  • My license for SAS JMP Pro has expired

Environment

  • Software store
  • Personally-owned computer
  • SAS License

Resolution

  1. Follow this link to the Miami Software Store
  2. Log in using your Miami credentials
  3. Select SAS Software located on the bottom left hand side of the screen
  4. Select the JMP License Update for the appropriate OS and JMP version
  5. Checkout
  6. Agree to the terms and conditions
  7. Select Review your order
  8. Submit order
  9. Select My Account
  10. Select Files
  11. Select the JMP license file
  12. If you're on a PC, right click on the JMP application and select Run as Administrator
  13. If you're on a Mac, run the program from Applications
    • If you receive an error on MacOS, open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal
    • In the Terminal window, type in sudo “Applications/JMP Pro <Put the version number here>.app/Contents/MacOS/JMP"
    • Enter your password and hit enter if prompted
      • If updating before the end of October during the grace period, go to File,click New, and click New Script
      • Enter Renew License() in the script window, then click Edit, and click Run Script
      • After a 60-day grace period, you will be prompted to renew your license immediately upon launching the application
  14. Click Open License
  15. Select the license file and click Choose/Open
  16. You should see a message confirming that your license has been renewed
