Resolution

  1. Follow the appropriate link for your version of JMP
  2. Log in using your Miami credentials
    • A zipped file will be saved to your downloads folder
  3. Open your downloads folder and extract the JMP license from the zip file
  4. If you're on a PC, right-click on the JMP application and select Run as Administrator
  5. If you're on a Mac, run the program from Applications
    • If you receive an error on macOS, open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal
    • In the Terminal window, type in sudo “Applications/JMP Pro <Put the version number here>.app/Contents/MacOS/JMP"
    • If prompted, enter your password and hit Enter
      • If updating before the end of October during the grace period, go to File, click New, and click New Script
      • Enter Renew License() in the script window, then click Edit, and click Run Script
      • After a 60-day grace period, you will be prompted to renew your license immediately upon launching the application
  6. Click Open License
  7. Select the license file and click Choose/Open
  8. You should see a message confirming that your license has been renewed
