Install macOS Map Drive Utility (NoMAD)

Introduction

The attached application automatically connects to your network drives at Miami.

• You must be on campus and logged in to the Miami network 
• To access network drives from a residence hall or an off-campus location, you must be connected to the Miami network through VPN

Details

1. Click the Download and Install button to download and install the map drive utility
2. Double-click to open the package and run the installer
3. Click the triangular icon in your status bar in the upper-right side of your screen
4. When a check mark  appears in the icon, click the icon again and select Map Drives
   • If no check mark appears or you're missing the File Shares menu item:
     • Log in to the Miami network or connect to the Miami network through VPN, and try Steps 3–6 again
5. Click the icon again and hover your cursor over the File Servers item
6. From the fly-out menu, select the location to which you want to connect
