Objective

• To provide options for generating a shortened URL
• To provide links to web-based generators and browser-based apps used for shortening URLs
• To provide links to the up-to-date support sites for Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and Safari browsers

Resolution

Web Options

• Go to one of the following URL generators and follow the simple on-screen prompts:
  • TinyURL
  • Tinycc
• Or search Google for free URL shortener

Browser Options

• Go to the Chrome web store and add the Link Shortener app to your Chrome browser
  • Or go to Mozilla's Firefox Add-ons site to add the Link Shortener app to your Firefox browser
    • This five-star app uses popular tools like Bitly, TinyUrl, is.gd, and to.ly to create short URLs and QR codes with a single click
  • Visit the developer's site for FAQ support
