LISTSERV / Modify subscription options

Objective

  • To provide instruction on modifying your LISTSERV subscription options via the web

Environment

  • 10283: LISTSERV

Resolution

  • LISTSERV provides several options for how you receive messages from a list. You can modify these settings and/or change your email address for a LISTSERV list via the web
  1. Go your list's web site at http://listserv.miamioh.edu/archives/<listname>.html
    • <listname> is the 32-character-or-less name of the list — the part of the list address before @listserv.miamioh.edu
      • example: Sample list is at http://listserv.miamioh.edu/archives/sample.html
  2. If prompted, log in to the list using the email address with which you are subscribed and your LISTSERV password
  3. Click the Subscribe or Unsubscribe link located on the right-hand side of the screen in the Options box
  4. In the window displaying your current subscription information, make your desired changes 
    • For information about the settings, click on the section headers on the left
  5. Click Update options

 

Notes

  • If you are changing your email address, a confirmation request will be sent to the new email address specified; you must confirm the request using the email reply option outlined in the confirmation email
  • If using a public computer, always click Log off in the grey navigation bar on the left when finished
