Miami ID / Assistance needed with ID card reader

Objective

  • To obtain assistance from Campus Services when:
    • The ID card reader for a University building isn't working

Environment

  • 10220: CS Gold (CBORD) (Electronic door access control for the entire University)
    • Miami ID, ID Card, Miami ID Card, Digital ID, GET Mobile, Mobile ID
  • 835935: GET App (CBORD)
  • Residence Hall, Academic Building, Administrative Building
  • Campus Services Center 

Resolution 

  1. Download the GET Mobile App to provision for Miami's digital ID. Directions for downloading and accessing the GET app can be found on the Miami ID website
    • If GET isn't working, or you don't have access to a mobile device, proceed to Step 2
  2. Contact Campus Services Center at 513-529-5000 for assistance during business hours 
    • Miami University Campus Services provides end-user support for the Miami ID Card
  3. Provide the following information:
    • Description of the issue you are experiencing
    • Your location, including building name
    • Time/date when the reader stopped working
    • UniqueID of the person who was unable to use the card reader
    • If needed, submit an escalated ticket request using this form
