Software Center / Troubleshoot access after Windows upgrade


  • To provide troubleshooting guidance or assistance in accessing Software Center when:
    • You just upgraded to the latest version of Windows using Software Center, but Software Center is gone now


  • 10293: Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
    • Software Center
  • Software for University-owned Computers
  • Microsoft Windows


  1. In the search window, type cmd.exe
  2. At the command prompt, type gpupdate/force and press Enter
  3. Restart your computer
  4. If Software Center isn't available after restarting your computer, contact IT Help at 513-529-7900 to report the issue
  5. Provide the following information:
    • Computer name
