Objective
To provide instruction on:
Registering your device for the network
Connecting your gaming console to MU-Gaming
Connecting your streaming device to the network
Connecting your Smart TV for use on the Miami Network
Environment

Wired Network
Network Registration
Personally Owned Gaming Console
Personally Owned Streaming Device
Resolution
Log in to Miami's MU-Gaming Device Registration page
using your UniqueID and MUnet password
Click
Add
Enter the name of the device or TV you want to register
Please do not include any special characters in the name. The page will return an error if there is a special character in the name or description
Enter the device MAC address for
Device ID
Follow these KB instructions to
locate the MAC address for your gaming console
Follow these KB instructions to
locate the MAC address for your streaming device
Submit your request
Note: It can take 15 minutes for your registration to be completed
When you have completed your registration,
connect your console or device to MU-Gaming
Miami Network / Connect a Wii console to the wired network
Notes
The device will remain in
pending
status due to a bug within the registration system; this will not affect your ability to connect to MU-GAMING
You will not receive notification from the system about the device registration
To use Multiplayer abilities on your device, connect your device to the wired network
Wired Network / Connect My Gaming Console to the Internet for Multi-Player Games
