Procedure: KM / Add an image to a KB article

Procedure

  1. In the body of your KB draft, place your cursor at the desired location for your image
  2. In the editor tool bar, select the image icon
  3. In the Image Properties window, click the Upload tab 
  4. Click the Choose File command to locate and select your image
    • When you have selected your image, the image name will appear next to the Choose File command 
  5. Click the Send it to the Server command to add the image to the TDX server
  6. Click the Image Info tab to set image size, border, and alignment
  7. In the Alternative Text field, enter a short, precise description of your image for accessibility purposes
  8. If you want to provide a roll-over title, click the Advanced tab in the Image Properties window
    • In the Advisory Title field, enter a title for your image
  9. Click OK to view your image in context of your draft

  1. In the body of your KB draft, place your cursor at the desired location for your image
  2. In the editor tool bar, select the image icon
  3. In the Image Properties window on the Image Info tab, paste the link to your image in the URL field 
  4. Set image size, border, and alignment
  5. In the Alternative Text field, enter a short, precise description of your image for accessibility purposes
  6. Click the Link tab and paste the link to your image in the URL field 
    • This will make your image a click-able link
  7. Also in the Link tab, select New Window from the Target drop-down
    • This will open the linked image in a new browser window
  8. To provide a roll-over title, click the Advanced tab and enter a title for your image in the Advisory Title field
  9. Click OK to view your image in context of your draft

Note

  • You must add a short, precise description of your image for accessibility purposes. If you don't, I will return your draft to you for completion of the task before publishing
