Resolution
To add the KB search engine to Chrome, follow this procedure:
- On your computer, open Chrome
- At the top-right, click the More Settings icon
- From the drop-down, select Settings
- In the Search engine section, click Manage search engines
- Under Site Searches, click the Add button
- In the Add search engine window, enter the following information in the appropriate field:
- (Search engine) KnowIT
- (Keyword) kb
- (URL with %s in place of query) https://miamioh.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1813/Portal/Shared/Search/?c=all&s=%s
- Click the Add button
To use Google Search to search the KB, follow this procedure:
- In your Chrome address bar, enter kb<space> to prompt the KB search engine
- In the address bar, the Google icon will be replaced with the Search KnowIT prompt
- Enter your search term in the address bar
- Review the results — which will be returned in a KB Search window — and select the appropriate entry
