Canvas / Students unable to see comments in Gradebook

Issue

• I added comments to student assignments in SpeedGrader, but some or all of my students can't see my feedback in Grades
• A student cannot see the comment I added to their quiz in SpeedGrader
• Comments added to a graded discussion do not appear in student Grades

Rationale

• The assignment score you enter in SpeedGrader will be automatically submitted to the Gradebook when you navigate to a new submission in SpeedGrader
• However, you must submit each assignment comment manually in SpeedGrader before it can be viewed in student Grades

Resolution

1. Open SpeedGrader for the assignment, graded discussion, or quiz
2. Look for a Submit button at the top-right side of the comment
   • If the Submit button is visible, click it to submit your feedback to student Grades
