Rationale

  • Rubrics are used as criteria for grading students in Canvas, and can be added to assignments, quizzed, and graded discussions. As the instructor of your Canvas course, you may create, edit, and delete rubrics in the course

Notes

  • Rubrics cannot be modified once they have been added to more than one assignment
  • When deleting a rubric, any assignment associated with the rubric will still have access to it, but the rubric will no longer be available for future assignments
  • You can delete a rubric even after it has been used for more than one assignment. If you are unable to delete a rubric, it is because the rubric was created at the account level and aligned with an assignment in your course
  • Miami Online offers Canvas training
