Canvas / Final grade submission does not match final grades

Issue

  • I tried to submit my grades from Canvas to Banner, and the grades did not match my Canvas grades

User

Environment

  • 10185: Canvas
    • Grade Submission
  • 80463: BannerWeb 8 (Self Service)

Cause

  • You have one or more hidden assignments in your course as indicated by the exclamation point icon in the total column
  • Hidden assignments are assignments where the grade is not shared with the student as indicated by the eye with a line in the gradebook column for the assignment or the word MANUAL in the column heading for the assignment

Resolution

  1. Hidden assignments in Grades as shown in this Canvas Guide on muting and unmuting assignments
  2. Re-submit your grades
  3. The submitted grades should now match your Canvas final grades
