Objective
To provide instruction on properly ejecting a drive from Windows BitLocker system when:
You receive an error when attempting to eject a drive from the Windows system tray
Environment

Cause/Rationale
There is a known issue with the BitLocker administration and monitoring client that involves an inability to eject a disk from the system tray
Resolution
Open the
My Computer/ Windows Explorer
window
On the left side, look for the drive you want to remove
Right-click the drive and select
Eject
from the menu
