Eject a drive from the Windows system / BitLocker

Problem

• How do I properly eject a drive from Windows BitLocker system?
• I received an error when attempting to eject a drive from the Windows system tray

Cause

• There is a known issue with the BitLocker administration and monitoring client that involves an inability to eject a disk from the system tray

Resolution 

1.  Open the My Computer/ Windows Explorer window
2.  On the left side, look for the drive you want to remove
3.  Right-click the drive and select Eject from the menu
