Canvas / Course dates override due-dates and until-dates

Objective

• To provide a link to the Canvas Guide article on how term dates, course dates, and section dates work in Canvas
  • I set a due date for an assignment, but there is a Sprint for the section that ends prior to that date. Will my students be unable to access the assignment after the Sprint date although I manually entered the deadline?

• The course end date will remove access to the course from students if the box for the option, Users can only participate in the course between these dates, is checked. The term availability settings for your section will also restrict access to the course
• Course dates override assignment, quiz, and discussion due and until dates

Resolution 

• This Canvas Guide article offers information on how term dates, course dates, and section dates work in Canvas — however it is not recommended to changing start and end dates in Canvas
