Voicemail / Modify settings or password

Objective

  • To provide instruction on changing your greeting message and recorded name in voicemail
  • To provide instruction on changing your voicemail password
  • To provide instruction on changing your Speech Connect directory recorded name

Environment

  • 10716: VoIP
    • Voicemail
    • Cisco IP Phone

Resolution

Change your recorded name

  1. On your desk phone, press the Messages key to access the voicemail system
  2. Enter your password/PIN to log in
  3. Press 4 3 2
  4. At the tone, record your name

 

Modify available settings

  1. On your desk phone, press the Messages key to access the voicemail system
  2. Enter your password/PIN to log in 
  3. Press 4 1 1
  4. Listen to your current greeting or press # (pound key) to skip to the end
  5. To re-record your greeting, press 1
  6. To end the recording, press (pound key)
  7. To record a different greeting, press 3
  8. Choose the greeting — standard, closed, alternate, or holiday — and then re-record it

 

Change your password/PIN

  1. On your desk phone, press the Messages key to access the voicemail system
  2. Enter your password/PIN to log in 
  3. Press 4 3 1
  4. Enter your new password/PIN and press (pound key)
  5. To confirm, enter your new password/PIN again and press (pound key)

 

Modify voicemail settings from an external (off-campus) number

  1. Dial 513 529-1500
  2. When the Auto Attendant answers, press * (star key)
  3. Enter your five-digit office extension, followed by # (pound key)
  4. Enter your password/PIN to log in
    • Six consecutive invalid password/PIN entries will lock the system for 10 minutes
  5. Listen to the available options or press 4 to change voicemail settings
