  • Serial Number/Service Tag: This unique identifier is crucial for warranty claims, parts ordering, and service history checks
  • Purchase Date: If the repair might be covered under a warranty, knowing the purchase date is essential
  • Warranty Status: Determine if your device is still under manufacturer's warranty or if you have an extended warranty plan
  • Warranty Documents: Have any documents or proof of warranty ready, as you may need to provide these for service
  • Detailed Issue: Be ready to describe the problem in detail, including when it started, frequency, and any error messages

  • How much is the diagnostic fee, and is it waived if I proceed with the repair? Some services charge a fee just to look at the device; knowing if this fee is waived with repair can affect the cost-benefit analysis
  • How do you handle devices that are deemed irreparable after the initial assessment? It's important to know if there are any costs involved or if the device will be returned without additional charges
  • Do you offer any guarantees on the repair time? This question is important if the repair time is critical
