Google Drive / Install File Stream

Objective

• To provide direction in downloading and installing Google Drive File Stream on your University-owned or personally owned device when:
  • You want to access your Drive work files and sync them on my devices

Environment

• 10259: Google Drive
  • Drive File Stream
• Windows
• macOS

Resolution

• If you use a Google account through work or school, you may need to use Google's Drive File Stream
  • This Google Support article will tell you how to download, install, and use Drive File Stream for work or school files
  • If your Google account was set up by an administrator (example, PublicJQ@MiamiOH.edu) at MiamiOH.edu and you are unable to use Drive File Stream, ask your Miami administrator for assistance

Notes

• In addition to using Drive File Stream, you can upgrade to Backup and Sync, Google's new consumer sync version of Drive for macOS and Windows
