What is a student spotlight?
A student spotlight is a content type similar to a news article that features basic information about the student as well as highlights leadership opportunities, academic achievements, and post-graduation plans. Spotlights also provide prospective Miami University students with the information shared by the current student body.
Student spotlights consist of the main spotlight page (Article-Spotlight), a listing page (Listing Gallery-Spotlight) based on a given metadata set, e.g. department, center, academic division, and a includes spotlight widget (Cards-Spotlight) that can be added to a page within the CMS.
Example
The College of Arts and Science has student spotlights in the news area at the bottom of the page. (Spotlight-Includes)

Who can nominate a student to be featured in a spotlight?
There are two ways that a student can be nominated to submit a spotlight. The student can self-nominate, or they can be nominated by a faculty or staff member.
Student Spotlight Form
After the form has been submitted
After the spotlight form has been submitted, the student receives a talent release form that will be signed via DocuSign. Once this release is signed, the spotlight will then be forwarded to the appropriate area to review and post the spotlight.
