To provide instruction on configuring a laptop or other device to use eduroam

Cause
eduroam allows you to connect to wireless (Wi-Fi) on any campus and location that offers it
Resolution
For most laptops and devices
Open your network preferences or wireless settings
Select
eduroam
from the list of available networks
Log in using your full MiamiOH email address (UniqueID@MiamiOH.edu) as the user name and your MUnet password
If you need more detailed configuration settings, use the following settings:
Security
: WPA2 Enterprise / 802.1xEAP
EAP method
: PEAP
Phase Authentication
: MSCHAPV2
Download CA certificate, if required by your device
Identity (username)
: your full MiamiOH email address (UniqueID@MiamiOH.edu)
(If Applicable)
Anonymous Identity
: UniqueID@MiamiOH.edu or anonymous@MiamiOH.edu
Password
: your MUnet password
Notes
We recommend connecting to eduroam on any Miami campus
before traveling
to test your connection prior to your travels
