Google Calendar / Add a Miami guest or co-worker to an event

Objective

  • To provide instruction on adding a Miami guest to a Google Calendar event
  • To provide instruction on selecting the correct Miami email address when scheduling a meeting with Miami co-workers

Environment

  • 10257: Google Calendar

Resolution

  • To ensure that Calendar events display correctly, always invite people by choosing their primary UniqueID@MiamiOH.edu email address — never an email alias
  • When you use Calendar to schedule meetings, you may be presented with more than one email address when you add an individual Miami guest to an event. By choosing the primary email address, both the organizer and the guest will be able to accurately track the event on their calendars
