Add a Miami guest or co-worker to a Calendar event

Issue/Question

  • How do I add a Miami guest to a Google Calendar event?
  • I want to schedule a meeting with my team, but some co-workers have more than one Miami email address. Which one should I use?

Environment

  • 10257: Google Calendar

Cause

  • To ensure that Calendar events display correctly, always invite people by using their UniqueID@MiamiOH.edu address

Resolution

  • Always choose the primary UniqueID@MiamiOH.edu email address — never an email alias
  • When you use Calendar to schedule meetings, you may be presented with more than one email address when you add an individual Miami guest to an event. By choosing the primary email address, both the organizer and the guest will be able to accurately track the event on their calendars
