Objective

• To provide a link to the Canvas Guide article on publishing a course in Canvas 
• To provide a link to the Canvas Guide article on and opening a Canvas course before the semester begins when:
  • Your students must view course material prior to the beginning of the term
  • You need to send an email through Canvas to your class prior to the beginning of the term

• This Canvas Guide article will tell you how to publish your Canvas course
  • Note that no work that is to be graded can be required before the term start-date. Non-graded surveys or information can be offered but not required
  • You can only send email to an entire class through Canvas when the course is both published and open
