Objective

• To provide instruction on changing your display name in Gmail or other Google service when:

Environment

• Gmail

Resolution

In your Gmail account

1. Open or log in to your Gmail account
2. Click the gear icon
3. Click See all settings
4. Select the Accounts tab
5. In the Send mail as section, select Edit info
6. Add the name you wish to have displayed on your messages
7. Select Save Changes

In your Google account

1. In any Google service, click on your initials or image in the upper right corner
2. Click the Manage your Google Account button next to your information in the drop-down
3. Select the Personal info link in the left navigation menu 
4. Click on your name
5. Click the pencil icon
6. Change your name
7. Click Done

• Google's caveat: You can change your name three times within a 90-day period
