Accessibility standards and testing
Miami University is committed to providing equal opportunity for qualified individuals with disabilities to participate in, and benefit from, Miami’s services, programs, and activities. The purpose of Miami's Policy is to acknowledge Miami’s commitment to equal opportunity for qualified individuals with disabilities, which includes services, programs, and activities that Miami delivers through web-based, digital, and emerging technologies. As of July 1, 2021, Miami University implements the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at the AA level. During the procurement process, Miami will conduct testing of web and mobile applications to confirm conformance with the WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. - Is your product designed to meet the applicable University standards?
- If your product does not meet the WCAG 2.1 level AA standard, do you have a product roadmap for accessibility going forward? If so, please provide (ensure that the roadmap gives us a general outline of goals and milestones including dates).
- Do you do testing with users with disabilities?
- Does your company have a policy or commitment statement regarding accessibility? If so, please provide.
- How do you ensure the accessibility of your products and services after they have launched or have been deployed, and after enhancements or upgrades?
- Are you, as a vendor, able to agree to or indicate a willingness to agree to correct identified accessibility issues in an appropriate time frame if found?
