Overview
You may need to make a change to the name of an existing page or asset at some point. Or you may need to move it to another location within the tree view.

Renaming an Image or Widget
- Either of these is done by Selecting Rename from the More dropdown when in the image/widget.

- After renaming the file, choose 'Rename'

- Then select Publish. Note that only image files can be published directly after renaming. Widgets do not have that option.

- Navigate to the page/pages that the image/widget are on and publish.
Notes:
- The image/widget may not yet be on a page.
- The image/widget may be on more than one page. If that is the case, you will need to publish all pages containing that Asset. To check where an asset or page is being used, choose 'Relationships' from the More menu.
- If you don't republish the page, the image/widget will not display correctly.
What a web editor should NOT do without consulting a UCM Web Team Member
In the list above, items with a red X need to be coordinated with a member of the UCM Web Team.
Moving/Renaming a page or Folder
Unlike moving/renaming an image or a widget, changing the name or location of a page changes the url. Changing the url affects Google Search results as well as users who may have bookmarked the url. This will result in a Page Not Found error.
This is something to coordinate with the web team. You will need to provide:
- the reason for making the change
- when the changes are going to be made
- what the url of the existing page is as well as the url of the page once it is moved or has a name change so that a redirect can be done tying the old url to the new url
