Problem
- How do I send a message (email) in Canvas to individual students or a group?

Resolution
- Canvas Inbox (or Conversations) is a messaging tool within Canvas that can be accessed from the Global Navigation menu. Students and instructors can use Canvas to communicate with class members and/or student groups. To send or receive a message in the Inbox, users must have an active enrollment in the same course, the course must be published, and the course dates must be active (not before or after the term). Refer to the Canvas Guides for more information:
- When you receive a message in the Inbox, an indicator will appear on the Inbox link in the Global Navigation menu, as well as in the Inbox itself. You can also set your Canvas Notification preferences to send you an email to your Miami email account and/or a push notification when you receive an Inbox message:
