25Live / Create or cancel an event
Body
Objective
- To provide instruction on creating or cancelling an event in Miami's 25Live scheduling application
Scope
- All faculty, staff, and students can create events on the 25Live calendar
Environment
Resolution
Create an event
- For the best experience, use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access the 25Live system
- Log in to Miami's 25Live portal
- Click the Sign In tab at the lower-left of the screen
- On the dashboard page, click the Event Form button
- If you want a specific venue, use Find Available Locations in the upper-center of the page to search by a specific location or a specific date and time before creating an event to make sure your desired location is available for your event
- Complete each step to create a new event
- You will receive email confirmation from 25Live (RoomRequest@MiamiOH.edu) after your request for space has been approved on the schedule
- You can also request that your event be published to the calendar system
- Publish to Calendar: Once your event has been confirmed by the calendar administrator, your event will appear on the appropriate calendar within one to three working days
Cancel an event
- To cancel an event, send an email to RoomRequest@MiamiOH.edu and include the reference number of the event you want to cancel
Notes
- Submissions must be approved by the Publisher Administrator
- Requesting publication of the event does not guarantee that it will be published. Each calendar has guidelines and rules for what types of events may actually be published
- Example: no meetings on the Oxford Events calendar
- Generally, approved events will be published within one or two working days of request submission. The following guidelines are used in reviewing requests:
- All events must have a Miami sponsor
- Events to be posted to the Oxford Events, Hamilton Events, or Middletown Events sites must be held at a campus location and remain open to a segment of the Miami community or to the public
